We headed on down to the jetty questioning whether we had taken the right path. You see there was a group of zebras crossing our path only 20 yards ahead. We could see a tower ahead and continued. We reached it alone and spotted some hippo out in the lake.

We got to Simba Camp in time for lunch, slightly concerned that they do not accommodate the drivers. Poor Isaac couldn't get a room in town either. I hope he has managed to find somewhere. Our room is lovely and obviously this place is fairly new. The food

Tonight we were quite daring and ventured out into the ranch on a night drive. I hoped it would pay off and as soon as we drove up to our first male lion, it had. The lion was sleeping in some thicket when we literally pulled alongside him. It'

I always appreciate the simplicity of life when I'm away from home. Be this at camp in the US, in the Philippines or here. The tribal culture among the Samburu people here, like the families in the park and the Bucana people in the Philippines is not materialistic

Before our evening meal, Becky and I experienced our first game drive with Isaac. We were even allowed to stand during the journey with our heads protruding through the open roof. Our vehicle, courtesy of Akorn Tours, isn't the most elegant, modern or even reliable set of wheels.
